About Colour Harmonies
Colour harmonies are combinations based on where colours sit on the colour wheel. They’re a reliable starting point for palettes that feel balanced.
- Complementary: colours from opposite sides of the wheel, for strong contrast and energy.
- Monochromatic: light and dark shades of one colour, calm and cohesive.
- Analogous: neighbouring colours on the wheel, natural and easy on the eye.
- Triadic: three colours evenly spaced around the wheel, vibrant but balanced.
- Random: anything goes, great for finding something unexpected.
